About this Role: Join our dynamic team as a Professional Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse! You will play a vital role in providing exceptional nursing care to patients during their journey from admission through discharge. Collaborating closely with patients, their families, and a diverse interdisciplinary team, you will implement nursing care grounded in theory and evidence-based practice. Schedule: Work four 10-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends. Key Responsibilities: • Drive the achievement of department goals while upholding policies, quality standards, and safety regulations. • Gather and evaluate essential patient information including physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors, utilizing advanced technology. • Deliver relationship-based, autonomous nursing care that prioritizes the patient experience. • Assess patient conditions, identify potential problems, and plan appropriate interventions. • Integrate evidence-based practices into everyday care with a focus on quality and safety. • Act as a patient advocate, effectively communicating clinical and ethical concerns to the team. • Ensure compliance with the nurse practice act while embracing ethical guidelines in practice. • Customize patient care plans to meet individual learning needs and goals. • Communicate effectively with patients and team members in both verbal and written formats. • Maintain a safe therapeutic environment, addressing any safety concerns proactively. • Demonstrate leadership by prioritizing tasks and delegating appropriately. • Utilize problem-solving skills to tackle clinical issues while consulting with colleagues when necessary. • Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly. • Identify patient and family needs for discharge, initiating comprehensive discharge planning. • Commit to professional growth and lifelong learning by exploring resources and strategies. • Contribute to the achievement of organizational goals and participate in outreach efforts. • Engage in quality and service improvement initiatives as part of multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications: • Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred. RNs with an Associate's degree must enroll in a BSN program within 12 months of hire and complete it within four years. • Experience: 1-2 years of RN experience preferred. • Certifications: Current RN state licensure required; CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Additional certifications may be required based on specialty. Skills: • Proficient in basic math, verbal and written communication, and computer skills. This position offers a competitive salary range of USD $41.78 - USD $63.66 per hour.
