Location: Avera Cancer Institute-Sioux Falls Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Primarily days with possible weekends/evenings/holidays Pay Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. A Brief Overview As a Registered Nurse (RN) in medical oncology infusion, you will provide exceptional nursing care by assessing patient conditions, developing comprehensive care plans, and ensuring emotional and spiritual support for patients and their families. What You Will Do • Deliver high-quality patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating effectively with the healthcare team, and providing holistic support to patients and families. • Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, and establishing objectives tailored to individual needs. • Educate patients and families about healthcare requirements, self-care, and medication management. • Evaluate and modify care based on patient progress and feedback from healthcare standards. • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all infection control and safety protocols. • Document all patient care services accurately to maintain clear records. • Maintain and troubleshoot patient care equipment while managing supply inventories. Essential Qualifications • The ability to work specified hours and perform essential functions with visual acuity and effective communication. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice upon hire. • ONS Fundamentals Provider Card - Oncology Nursing Society within 1 year or • ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card - Oncology Nursing Society within 1 year. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • Previous experience in oncology nursing.
