This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with a focus in Oncology and Hematology to contribute to a specialized Bone Marrow Transplant unit. The position is based in Fishers, IN, providing compassionate care to patients with complex needs including blood and electrolyte replacement, chemotherapy, and long-term IV therapy.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to hematology and bone marrow transplant patients
• Perform neuro assessments and manage central line dressings
• Administer high-risk and hazardous drugs in compliance with protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float to similar units such as stepdown, critical care, and acute care as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation on EPIC and Beacon systems
Qualifications:
• Valid RN licensure
• BLS certification required; ACLS and ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certificates preferred
• Experience in stepdown, critical care, blood administration, electrolyte replacement, and neuro assessment
• Oncology/hematology experience, especially in chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant care, highly desirable
• Skilled in managing ventilators, Alaris pumps, Phillips monitors, and patient lifts
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach
Schedule:
• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every third weekend including Saturday and Sunday for 12-hour shifts
• Holidays as needed
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
