The Greater Manchester Region includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community facility, Rockville General Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services. We serve approximately 300,000 people across 19 towns.
Position Overview:
As an Oncology Registered Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You'll work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, ensure effective communication regarding patient conditions, and respond rapidly to changes in patient status. You will also apply your knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care to diverse patient populations. Your role will promote the profession of nursing through collegial support and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and indirect patient care.
• Coordinate care by collaborating with the healthcare team.
• Communicate patient conditions and respond to changes in a timely manner.
• Support the growth and development of patients across all ages.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support required upon hire or during introductory orientation.
Competencies:
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills required.
