A Brief Overview As an Oncology RN, you'll deliver exceptional nursing care, developing personalized care plans, providing ongoing support, and addressing patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Responsibilities • Deliver patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care. • Develop individualized nursing care plans based on medical histories and assessments. • Educate patients and families about healthcare requirements and self-care skills. • Evaluate care processes by monitoring standards and measuring patient health outcomes. • Maintain a safe patient care environment by adhering to policies and regulations. • Document patient care services accurately in records. • Ensure patient care equipment is operational by following established procedures. • Manage inventory of patient care supplies to ensure readiness. Essential Qualifications To perform successfully in this role, candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills, visual acuity for patient assessments, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Required Education, Licensure/Certification, or Experience: • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice at the time of hire. • Completion of ONS Fundamentals Provider Card within 1 year. • Obtaining ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card within 1 year. Preferred Experience: • Previous experience in Oncology nursing.
