Location: Avera McKennan Hospital
Worker Type: Regular
Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends
Pay Range: $32.00 - $48.00 (Actual pay rate dependent upon experience)

Position Overview
As an Oncology Unit Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, alongside physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support for patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver exceptional patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan with the healthcare team.
• Develop nursing care plans that include medical histories, patient examinations, and documentation of physical and psychological assessments.
• Educate patients and their families on healthcare needs, medications, and self-care skills.
• Evaluate and modify patient care by monitoring health outcomes and adjusting care plans as needed.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment by adhering to infection-control policies and legal regulations.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in patient records.
• Maintain and troubleshoot patient care equipment and ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Stay updated on nursing competencies and best practices.
Essential Qualifications
• Ability to work specified hours and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Required Credentials:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Board of Nursing in the state of practice upon hire.
Preferred Experience:
• 1-3 years of clinical experience.
