Job Description
The Operating Room Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a dedicated Registered Nurse who collaborates closely with the unit director/manager to oversee clinical and operational activities during assigned shifts. This vital role involves supporting the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the services offered by the unit, ensuring a strong managerial presence on all shifts. The ANM plays a key role in managing both clinical and non-clinical caregivers, providing valuable insights for performance evaluations.
Key responsibilities include adhering to professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements, implementing policies and procedures, and monitoring clinical priorities. The ANM is also involved in coaching, mentoring, and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.

This is a full-time position, with 1.0 FTE, working 8-hour day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BS or BSN). RNs in this role before November 1, 2024, are encouraged to pursue a BSN, though it will not be a condition of employment.
• Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
• Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse experience.
• Leadership experience in a nursing setting.
• Shared Governance experience.

Posted wage rates represent the base pay for this position. Pay placement will depend on job experience and other factors. Additional compensation opportunities may be offered, including shift differentials, overtime, and bonuses.
