As an Operating Room Registered Nurse Circulator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe and quality patient care in the intraoperative area. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care during the surgical process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote a positive culture consistent with our Service and Behavioral Standards.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients pre-operatively and continuously monitor their status.
• Deliver high-quality, therapeutic care by efficiently utilizing the nursing process.
• Organize and prioritize patient care to ensure timely interventions.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesia staff, about patient conditions.
• Accurately carry out physician's orders and assist anesthesia staff as needed.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of patients' cognitive, physical, and emotional needs.
• Assist with the orientation and training of new team members.
• Maintain competencies to function effectively in the RN role within the surgical environment.
• Ensure patient safety by identifying potential hazards while preserving dignity and privacy.
• Demonstrate expertise in safety principles, aseptic techniques, and universal precautions.
• Anticipate and implement appropriate care throughout the surgical process and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current unencumbered State of Oregon Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR certification and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain ACLS within six months of hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 1+ years of OR nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Perioperative Nurse.
• PALS certification.
• 1+ years of experience in an acute care hospital.
• Multispecialty surgical experience.
• In-depth understanding of perioperative nursing care in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and basic clinical skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations with composure.
• Leadership skills demonstrated through managing unexpected procedure changes.
• Strong organizational skills to assign tasks to non-licensed personnel.
• Proficiency in equipment usage and troubleshooting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for teamwork with providers, staff, and patients.
• Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with high-quality outcomes.
• Commitment to following all policies and procedures, including Infection Control and Safety standards.
• Participation in Quality Improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving efficiency.
Compensation will be based on various factors, including local labor markets and individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including equity stock purchase and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role ranges from $34.23 to $61.15 based on full-time employment.
