Our department includes Orthopedics, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology, Plastics, Podiatry, Vascular and Endoscopy services. We have performed thousands of procedures and recruited highly regarded surgeons, allowing us to provide state-of-the-art care in our operating rooms. We focus on minimally invasive techniques, reducing recovery time, and many procedures can be completed on an outpatient basis.
Key Responsibilities: As an Operating Room Nurse, you will:
• Deliver quality patient care as per CHA standards and those of the Association of peri-operative Registered Nurses.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care effectively.
• Function as both scrub and circulator in the perioperative setting.
• Uphold the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of nursing services with personal commitment.
• Assist patients in achieving their health care goals.
Qualifications/Experience:
• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Massachusetts RN License in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Successful completion of Periop 101 during CHA orientation; CNOR preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of current Operating Room nursing experience; including circulating and scrub roles required.
• On-call obligations for nights, weekends, and holidays are mandatory.
Retention Bonus: Newly hired experienced RNs committing to a minimum of two years at CHA may qualify for a retention bonus of $10,000 (prorated for part-time employees).
