Job Summary and Qualifications
We are looking for an enthusiastic RN to be part of our Peri-operative team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare. You will provide comprehensive preventative and supportive intra-operative care to patients tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and swiftly respond to urgent surgical situations.
• Maintain continuity and quality of patient care.
• Monitor and assess patients' medical conditions during their time in the OR.
• Evaluate patients' wellbeing and monitor vital signs, delivering essential nursing care.
• Ensure the OR is adequately stocked with necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Maintain sterilization standards and protocols in the operating room.
• Review patient charts to ensure all documentation is complete as per protocols.
• Engage in effective communication with patients, team members, and physicians to promote continuity of care.
Requirements:
• Valid Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license required (Compact license holders must obtain the Florida license within 60 days of relocation).
• BLS certification from AHA required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in perioperative care or completion of a Perioperative Nursing course preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
