A Brief Overview
The Operating Room Registered Nurse delivers exceptional nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and providing comprehensive support—physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual—to patients and their families. You will monitor changing conditions, re-evaluate patient care objectives, and ensure a safe, healing environment.
What You Will Do
• Provide exemplary patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating nursing care plans, and coordinating with the healthcare team.
• Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, and documenting their conditions to create tailored interventions.
• Educate patients and families on healthcare requirements, establish care goals, and answer queries while providing vital information.
• Evaluate patient care by adhering to established therapeutic standards and modifying care plans based on evolving patient needs.
• Ensure a safe patient care environment by following infection control policies, legal regulations, and organizational standards.
• Document all aspects of patient care services accurately in records.
• Maintain patient care equipment and supplies, ensuring everything operates smoothly and is adequately stocked.
Essential Qualifications
• Ability to work the specified hours and perform essential job functions effectively, with the necessary visual acuity and communication skills.
Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice upon hire.
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
• Experience in a clinical environment.
