Job Summary
Join our dynamic team of dedicated nursing professionals in a fast-paced operating room environment. As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. With a diverse range of surgical specialties, including Trauma, Ortho, ENT, GU-GYN, Robotics, General, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, and Urology, you will have the opportunity to utilize cutting-edge technology in a level three trauma center.
In this position, you will collaborate with a skilled team of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists, empowering you to thrive in a nurse-driven department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide circulating and scrub nurse services during surgical procedures.
• Prepare patients for scheduled procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Monitor patients' medical conditions and promptly report any changes.
• Assist the surgical team effectively during surgeries and patient care.
• Contribute to individualized care plans and nursing histories.
• Maintain accurate records of patient medical data and report statistics.
• Orient and train new personnel, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in South Carolina.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification.
• Previous experience in scrubbing and circulating in the operating room is advantageous.
