Job Description
This opportunity offers an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Operating Room procedures a chance to apply specialized skills in a dynamic surgical environment. The role is set in a leading medical center recognized for its Magnet designation and comprehensive trauma and neonatal care services.
Key Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN in Operating Room settings.
• Proficiency in general surgical specialties including vascular, robotic surgery, and general surgery.
• Experience as a circulator nurse; scrubbing experience highly recommended.
• Familiarity with neuro, ENT, spine, cranial, and orthopedic surgical procedures.
• Active RN license with current BLS certification.
• Competence with charting systems such as EPIC and medication management systems like Alaris and Pyxis.
• Ability to work efficiently with advanced surgical equipment including Medtronic and Stryker navigation systems and the XI robotic system.
Location:
Situated in Brookfield, Wisconsin, this position is within a facility offering 21 OR beds and a robust surgical program that encompasses a wide variety of specialties. The center is part of a high-capacity hospital with a Level III Trauma Center and NICU, enhancing the professional environment with complex case exposure.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in surgical procedures as either scrub or circulating nurse.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams including charge nurses and supervisors.
• Maintain compliance with surgical protocols and patient safety standards.
• Flexibly adapt to variable day shift start times between early morning hours.
• Engage in a structured orientation program tailored to your specialty.
• Commit to on-call rotations with a 30-minute response expectation.
