Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes • Utilize advanced technology, including the DaVinci robotic system, to assist in surgical procedures • Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols • Document patient care accurately and promptly within the charting system Desired Qualifications: • Active Illinois RN license • Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience with proficiency in Ophthalmology and robotic-assisted surgery • Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred • BLS certification required • At least one previous travel contract completed successfully • Ability to respond on-call within 30 minutes, including weekend coverage Schedule and Assignment Details: • Contract duration: 8 weeks • Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 40 hours per week • Weekend on-call rotation required (8-10 shifts including weekends) • Flexible orientation days during the week prior to assignment start Location Insight: This role is based in a hospital located just 28 miles from downtown Chicago, in the charming suburb of Glenview, IL.
