Job Description
A Registered Nurse with a focus on Operating Room care is needed for a contract position in the Middleton, WI area. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient surgical case progression and provide high-quality perioperative patient care. The position emphasizes safety, competence, and adherence to established care plans during complex procedures.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Minimum of two years acute care nursing experience within the last three years
• Wisconsin nursing license or a compact license from the permanent address state
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Experience with operating room equipment such as microscopes (Pentero, Mitaka, Leica) and specialized surgical tools preferred
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and communicate operating room activities to facilitate case progression and turnover
• Implement safe and efficient care for perioperative patients consistent with policies and standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary planning for patient care
• Adapt to floating schedules and potentially assist in multiple units as needed
Shift Schedule:
• Day and evening coverage with 12-hour shifts from 06:40 to 19:10
• Monday through Friday with weekday and weekend call responsibilities; holiday call as needed

This contract opportunity requires the candidates permanent address to be within 50 miles of the hospital. Flexibility to float between units based on staffing needs is essential.
