Operating Room RN in Ridgecrest, CA in China Lake Acres, CA

A Registered Nurse with specialized expertise in the operating room is needed to work closely with surgeons during surgical procedures. This role emphasizes direct patient care primarily during the intraoperative period and includes responsibility for perioperative assessment and postoperative evaluation. Working independently within a surgical team, the RN will apply advanced nursing knowledge and skills to ensure seamless and safe surgical interventions.

Qualifications:
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of California.
• Completion of an RN First Assisting course based on the AORN Core Curriculum.
• Current CNOR certification or commitment to obtain within the first year of employment.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in perioperative nursing as both scrub and circulator.
• Strong knowledge of asepsis, infection control, surgical anatomy, physiology, and operative procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• PALS certification required within one year and maintained thereafter.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required and maintained.
• Capable of performing effectively under stressful and emergency conditions.
• Proven skills unique to functioning as a first assistant in surgical procedures.

Schedule/Hours:
• 40 hours per week.
• Call requirements, including weekends and holidays.
