Evening Shift
Summary: The RN - Shift Supervisor shall be responsible to assist the Director or Manager through supervising the daily department activities. This individual will assist to facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for the provision of quality patient care. The RN shall serve as a mentor and team lead for the staff. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience:Associates Degree in Nursing and four (4) years of Staff Nurse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and two (2) years of Staff Nurse experience in the department is preferred. License / Certification: Active RN license required, BLS requried, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Trauma/ED standards of care practices and procedures, for the ED Shift supervisor.
• Organizational skills.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to show initiative and leadership in patient care.
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients, guest, and coworkers.
• Ability to coordinate the activities of those persons supervised.
