Job Description
An opportunity is available to provide expert nursing care within operating room settings, offering a dynamic role that involves floating between departments and locations within a 20-mile radius. This contract position calls for proficiency in the nursing process to deliver direct patient care that prioritizes safety and optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver personalized patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual needs and responses.
• Ensure patient-centered, timely, and efficient care while collaborating closely with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or according to established protocols.
• Identify and address patient and family education needs throughout the care episode.
• Provide clinical supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and assistive personnel.
• Maintain procedural competence through education and unit-specific competency testing.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with experience in Operating Room nursing.
• Strong ability to coordinate care across multiple departments and adapt to varying patient populations.
• Capability to float within various clinical settings up to 20 miles from the base location.
• Outstanding communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to maintaining standards of care and complying with established protocols.
