This opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in the Operating Room, with at least 2 years of experience, ready to work in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role focuses on a variety of advanced procedures including ENT, dental, plastics, pediatric cases, trauma level 1, and complex head and neck surgeries. This position offers a contract assignment with full-time hours and flexibility in scheduling.
Location:
Based in Brunswick, ME, the work environment supports a wide age range of patients from pediatric to geriatric. The surgical cases involve procedures like laryngoscopy, sinus surgery, facial plastics and trauma, cochlear implants, oral surgery, tonsillectomy, and tympanoplasty. Staff use EPIC for electronic medical records, ensuring streamlined patient care documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in the OR setting.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage complex surgical procedures efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team to support patient safety and care goals.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience.
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred.
• Knowledge or certification in AORN is advantageous.
• Experience with ENT, dental, plastics, pediatric, trauma level 1 cases preferred.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule:
• 4x10 or 4x12-hour shifts available.
• Shift options include early morning starts with afternoon or evening end times.
• Occasional weekends and on-call shifts may be required.
