OR Nurse (RN) | Chimayo, New Mexico in Chimayo, NM
Job Description
A healthcare position is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room nursing. This contract role is based in Chimayo, NM, offering day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, starting early January 2026.
Responsibilities include coordinating and implementing patient care tailored to the specific age group served, ensuring quality and safe care aligned with unit standards. The nurse will demonstrate professionalism, effective clinical practice, and respectful interaction with staff, physicians, patients, and their families.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current New Mexico RN license or a valid Compact state license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in age-appropriate patient care and understanding patient rights.
• Clear and concise communication skills suitable for patient developmental stages.
• Ability to work under varied hours and handle emergency situations.
• Physical capacity for prolonged standing/walking, patient movement, and coordination skills.
The role requires working in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment with exposure to certain bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and occasional x-rays.
