Job Description
A Registered Nurse with expertise in operating room procedures is sought for a contract position in Grand Junction, CO. This role demands specialized knowledge in neuro surgery as well as experience handling cases in general surgery, trauma, orthopedic trauma, spine, robotic-assisted surgeries, vascular, ENT, plastics, urology, and gynecology. Candidates must be capable of working independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality perioperative care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current RN licensure and operating room experience
• Specialized experience in neuro, trauma, ortho trauma, spine, robotic surgeries, vascular, ENT, plastics, urology, and gynecology procedures
• Ability to perform independent nursing functions per state nursing standards
• Proficiency in patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Strong documentation skills aligning with hospital and regulatory requirements
• Capacity to float within related departments as needed
• Flexibility to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts

Responsibilities:
• Independently execute nursing and delegated medical functions within accepted practice standards
• Conduct ongoing patient health status assessments and update care plans accordingly
• Provide health teaching and counseling to patients and families
• Administer supportive and restorative therapies and treatments directly or through supervision and teaching
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to refer patients for additional evaluation or treatment
• Review and monitor therapy plans continually
• Use facility resources efficiently while adhering to mission and values
• Maintain thorough documentation consistent with hospital policies and regulatory expectations
• May assist in other duties or float to other departments as required
