An experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in Operating Room (OR) care is needed to provide high-quality circulating support in a short-term acute care setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care in a Level IV Trauma Center equipped with modern facilities and a close-knit staff environment. Location This position is based in Hillsboro, OR, a vibrant city known for its lush parks, family-friendly neighborhoods, and proximity to Portland. The area offers a comfortable balance of urban amenities and natural beauty, making it an ideal place for healthcare professionals to live and work. Responsibilities • Perform circulating nurse duties within the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety and smooth surgical workflow. • Float between units as needed, based on skill set and staffing demands. • Participate in on-call rotations, including one weekend every 5 to 6 weeks and one night per week. • Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to meet 1:1 patient ratios. • Adapt to floating assignments, possibly including facilities in surrounding communities such as Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, and others, with appropriate incentives and accommodations when floating to certain locations. • Utilize Epic for charting patient care and documentation. Qualifications • Valid RN license with Operating Room experience, especially in circulating nursing duties. • Ability to scrub is beneficial but not required. • Reliable personal vehicle required for travel among facilities. • Flexibility to float to other units and sites as requested. • Commitment to maintaining high-quality care during on-call and float assignments. Schedule • Day shifts, 4 days a week, 10 hours each (07:00 – 17:00). • On-call responsibilities included.
