A skilled Registered Nurse with a focus on the Operating Room is sought for a contract position based in Lafayette, IN. This role supports a dynamic surgical team within a busy and diverse OR environment, providing high-quality perioperative care across a variety of specialties.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Deliver safe, efficient nursing care throughout all perioperative phases for general surgery, orthopedics, spine, neuro, gynecology, ENT, robotics, urology, podiatry, vascular, and open heart cases.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Utilize a variety of advanced OR equipment and the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Participate in weekday and weekend call rotations, supporting emergent surgical needs.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Registered Nurse license with a minimum of 3 years experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required.
• Robotics training and vascular or open heart surgery experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to anticipate clinical needs.
Schedule & Work Environment:
• Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (four 10-hour shifts), with varying days off.
• Weekend hours are on-call only.
• No float requirements.
• Scrubs provided; professional surgical attire expected.
