
OR Nurse (RN) - Marshfield, Missouri in Marshfield, MO
Job Description
Deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic surgical setting supporting specialty GI, GU, ENT, and urology procedures. This contract role requires a Registered Nurse with a calm, collaborative approach to thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on trauma and inpatient tele monitoring. Your expertise will directly impact the recovery and comfort of patients undergoing complex surgical interventions.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year inpatient telemetry experience
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start; 4 trauma credits required or must be completed within 2 weeks of start
• Preferred: ACLS certification from AHA
• Competence in medication titration
• Ability to float on a rotational basis
• Calm demeanor with strong teamwork and communication skills
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Ensure confidentiality and patient rights are maintained
• Adhere to nursing standards, Missouri Nurse Practice Act, and organizational policies
• Maintain safety and quality standards for trauma and surgical patients
• Use EMR systems such as EPIC for documentation and care coordination
Schedule & Work Environment:
• Night shift hours: 7 PM 7 AM
• Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 per week, with weekend hours as needed
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and assisting patient mobility
• Exposure to blood and body fluids following strict safety protocols
