OR Nurse (RN) | Pikeville, Kentucky in Coal Run Village, KY

An experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in operating room procedures is sought for a contract position at a well-regarded healthcare facility near Pikeville, KY. This role offers the opportunity to apply specialized surgical nursing skills in a dynamic environment with a variety of cases. Candidates must reside within a 100-mile radius of the facility.

Responsibilities
• Provide expert nursing care in the operating room during diverse surgical cases including general surgery, orthopedic surgeries (totals, ORIF, arthroscopy), laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures, and some gynecological surgeries.
• Assist during advanced vascular surgeries such as endarterectomy with stents and patches, aneurysm cases, vessel cleaning, and clot stripping.
• Support ENT procedures including tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, thyroid surgeries, and nasal fracture repairs.
• Provide postoperative care in PACU during call-back situations to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Participate in call rotations, covering one shift per week and one weekend per month.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain up-to-date certifications.

Qualifications And Experience
• Active RN license with minimum two years of operating room experience.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS mandatory.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Ability to live within 100 miles of the facility is required.

Shift and Schedule
• 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Call: One shift per week; one weekend per month.
• Orientation scheduled bi-weekly.
• Start date to align with staffing needs.
