A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room (OR) settings. This role requires dedication to delivering exceptional perioperative care within a dynamic healthcare environment. The assignment offers a chance to engage with a Level IV Trauma Center providing short-term acute care, supporting a variety of surgical procedures with a committed multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive circulating nursing care during surgical procedures. • Assist in patient preparation, instrument handling, and maintaining aseptic conditions. • Support other units as necessary by floating, based on skill set and unit demand. • Participate in on-call rotations, including one weekend every 5-6 weeks and one night per week. • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimize operating room efficiency. Qualifications and Desired Experience • Current and valid RN license with Operating Room experience. • Ability to circulate effectively; scrubbing skills are a plus but not mandatory. • Flexibility to float between units including facilities in the surrounding region. • Must have reliable vehicle transportation for assignment-related travel. • Comfortable working in a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio environment. Schedule • Day shift schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (07:00 AM 05:00 PM). • On-call responsibilities apply. Additional Information • The role covers a maternity leave starting mid-March, offering stable contract duration. • Floating may be required to other facilities within the health systems network; Seaside facility floating includes additional incentives and lodging accommodations if consecutive shifts are assigned. • Parking on site is free; charting system utilized is Epic. • Scrub and work attire colors are flexible according to department norms.
