OR Nurse (RN) - Saco, Maine in Arundel, ME

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with specialized experience in the Operating Room, focused on orthopedic procedures. This contract position offers a 13-week assignment with a schedule of 36 hours per week, working Monday through Thursday in four nine-hour shifts from early morning to late afternoon, plus on-call duties. Key Responsibilities: • Provide circulating and scrub nursing care during surgical procedures, particularly orthopedic cases. • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow in the operating room. • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards, including accurate and timely completion of timecards. • Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes during surgery. • Follow all protocols related to BLS and ACLS certifications. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current and active RN licensure. • A minimum of 5 years OR nursing experience, with a strong focus on orthopedic surgery. • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, mandatory. • Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain excellent communication within the surgical team. • Attention to detail in documentation, especially related to timecard submission.
