
OR Nurse (RN) - Saint Charles, Missouri in Bridgeton, MO
Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized nursing care as an RN in the Endovascular Operating Room, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and coordination throughout surgical procedures. This contract role is based in Saint Charles, MO, offering a daytime schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with one weekend call every month.
Responsibilities:
• Circulate and/or scrub during endovascular procedures, providing direct patient care to diverse age groups.
• Perform patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with established nursing standards.
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes and comfort.
• Utilize EMR systems and operate specialized OR equipment effectively.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, nursing practice acts, and institutional policies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current RN license eligible for Missouri or already licensed in Missouri.
• Minimum of 1 year of Endovascular OR experience; surgical circulator experience in vascular OR required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Surgical scrub experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with equipment such as EPIC EMR, OR tables, patient monitors, and documentation systems.
