OR Nurse (RN) - San Marcos, Texas in Redwood, TX

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Deliver expert nursing care in the operating room setting with a contract opportunity based in San Marcos, TX. This role involves providing both routine and complex care, demonstrating clinical independence, and applying the nursing processincluding assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluationto ensure optimal patient outcomes. Nurses will also manage assignments and delegate responsibilities to support efficient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Practice in alignment with professional nursing standards and competencies, including leadership roles as applicable.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
• Accurately document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care activities.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying learning needs and resources.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in operating room or related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas or compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association only).

Schedule and Work Type:
• Multiple shifts available to accommodate various schedules.
• On-call availability as needed.
• Approximately one weekend per month (around 7 days monthly).
• Full-time contract position.
