OR Nurse (RN) | Verona, Wisconsin in Fitchburg, WI

A Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience is needed for a contract position in Verona, WI. This role involves collaborating with the multidisciplinary Operating Room team to ensure timely and efficient patient care and surgical case progression. The nurse will coordinate activities in the OR to support smooth case turnovers and contribute to excellent patient outcomes.

Location:

The position is based near a leading pediatric medical and surgical center recognized for its specialized care environment, including a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU. The hospital is located in a vibrant community with convenient access to transportation options such as bus routes, park & ride services, and private parking facilities requiring permits.

Qualifications:
• Current RN license in Wisconsin or a compact license from the nurse's permanent state of residence
• Minimum of two years acute care experience within the last three years
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Permanent address within 50 miles of the primary worksite

Schedule:
• Day/Evening shifts, 12-hour durations, Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 11:30 PM
• Primary shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with occasional rotation to 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• Includes weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call duties

Responsibilities:
• Engage the OR team in planning and delivering patient care efficiently
• Facilitate communication and coordination to optimize surgical case flow and turnover times
• Adapt to floating assignments, potentially covering multiple units or locations based on staffing needs
