A Registered Nurse with operating room experience is sought for a contract opportunity in Waunakee, WI, working primarily at a leading hospital known for excellence in patient care and surgical services. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless surgical procedures and exceptional perioperative nursing care for complex cases in ENT, ophthalmology, and plastic surgery. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and communicate operating room activities to support efficient surgical case progression and turnover. • Deliver safe, competent nursing care tailored to the complexity of perioperative patients. • Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care. • Adapt to floating assignments across multiple units or locations as staffing needs dictate. Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum two years of recent acute care nursing experience within the last three years. • Wisconsin nursing license or a compact nursing license from your permanent state of residence. • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications. • Proven skills in handling specialized surgical equipment, including microscopes (Pentero, Mitaka, Leica) and other OR devices. • Ability to work 12-hour day/evening shifts (09:40 - 22:10), Monday through Friday, with weekend call responsibilities. • Permanent residence within 50 miles of the primary work site.
