Job Description
An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse to contribute expertise in the Operating Room and Perioperative setting. This role holds significant responsibility in delivering patient-centered care throughout the surgical processpre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative phases. The position involves performing both circulating and scrub duties, ensuring sterile environments, assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists, and supporting patient recovery to maintain safe, efficient surgical outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures
• Monitor patient status and support recovery post-operation
• Perform circulating and scrub nursing roles as needed
• Adhere to perioperative protocols and safety standards
• Participate in on-call rotation, including at least two weekends per month
Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors degree preferred
• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum of 1 year experience in operating room or surgical nursing
• Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing responsibilities
• Background in acute care or outpatient surgery centers is advantageous
