Job Description
A Registered Nurse with specialized skills in the Operating Room is needed to support orthopedic surgical procedures focusing on total joint replacements. This contract position offers a day shift schedule, providing consistency and work-life balance for professionals experienced in surgical nursing.

Qualifications & Desired Experience
• Minimum of 18 months recent experience as an Operating Room RN in a permanent role prior to travel assignment
• Strong orthopedic surgical expertise, specifically in total joint procedures
• Current AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Recent Epic electronic medical records charting experience within the last 6 months
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty (Charge RN references accepted)
• Ability to recognize ECG rhythms and pass safeMedicate assessments during orientation
Schedule & Hours
• Day shift, 5 days per week
• 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Responsibilities
• Provide perioperative nursing care for orthopedic surgical patients, specializing in total joint replacements
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Epic EMR system
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure high standards of patient safety and care quality
• Participate in required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm and medication safety tests
• Adhere to hospital policies and maintain compliance with all clinical regulations
