Job Description
A registered nurse with operating room expertise is needed for a contract assignment in Daytona Beach, FL. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, with strong skills in orthopedic, neurological, general surgery, robotic, urology, and gynecology procedures. The position runs for 13 weeks, with a 36-hour workweek and shifts starting every other Monday. The schedule includes weekend, holiday, and weekday on-call responsibilities, averaging at least 8 call days per month during the week and 1 weekend day per month.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
• Active RN license with 2+ years of OR experience
• Proficient in Ortho, Neuro, General Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Urology, and Gynecology cases
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and fulfill on-call duties
• Willingness to float to nearby regional facilities as needed
• Must provide own scrubs (not supplied)
Responsibilities:
• Assist surgical teams by preparing operating rooms and instruments for procedures
• Provide patient care throughout the surgical process ensuring safety and compliance with protocols
• Respond promptly during on-call shifts and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards within the OR environment
• Support surgical specialties including orthopedic, neurological, robotic, urology, and gyn cases
