OR Registered Nurse | Elgin, Illinois in Carpentersville, IL

A registered nurse with operating room expertise is sought for an eight-week contract based in Elgin, IL. This position offers the opportunity to work a Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week, with additional on-call responsibilities including weekends. The role requires a strong background in ophthalmology and proficiency with the Da Vinci robot for general surgery.

Key Qualifications:
• Current RN license with NBSTSA certification
• Minimum two years of operating room experience
• Proven expertise in ophthalmology and use of Da Vinci surgical robot
• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health records system
• BLS certification required
• Ability to respond to on-call duties within 30 minutes of the hospital

Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in support of surgical teams
• Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care
• Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and patient safety protocols
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely

This assignment is based near Glenview, IL, with orientation available any weekday prior to the start date. Candidates must complete pre-employment credentials and health screenings within specified time frames.
