Provide skilled nursing care in the Operating Room with a focus on ophthalmology and robotic-assisted general surgery, supporting surgical teams in delivering excellent patient outcomes. This position is based in Glenview, IL, offering a full-time, contract opportunity with a reputable healthcare facility, known for its strong, collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for ophthalmic and DaVinci robotic surgeries.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams throughout procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system effectively for documentation and coordination.
• Respond promptly to on-call requirements within a 30-minute radius of the hospital.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital-specific regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience, including proficiency with ophthalmology and DaVinci robot-assisted surgeries.
• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed.
• Experience using Epic electronic health records.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to fulfill on-call duties with availability that includes weekdays and weekends.
Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekend on-call rotation.
