A Registered Nurse with a focus on Operating Room care is sought for a contract position in Monticello, IN, offering the opportunity to work a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with varying days off. Weekend hours are primarily on-call, including weekday and weekend call requirements. This role requires a minimum of three years of nursing experience and active registration as a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide skilled nursing care in a busy surgical environment covering general, orthopedic, spine, neuro, gynecology, ENT, robotics, urology, podiatry, vascular, and open-heart cases.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Operate and manage a variety of OR equipment in compliance with hospital standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Respond promptly to call requirements with a positive, adaptable, and proactive approach.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Valid Registered Nurse License.
• At least 3 years of relevant nursing experience in an operating room setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Preferred experience includes robotics training and vascular or open-heart surgery exposure, though these are not mandatory.
• Strong ability to anticipate needs and work independently in a dynamic environment.
