Provide specialized nursing care as an Operating Room RN, focusing on ophthalmology and robotic-assisted general surgery. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute your expertise in a fast-paced surgical environment located in Waukegan, IL, with assignments at a well-established hospital nearby. Ideal candidates will have experience with Epic systems and a strong background in ophthalmology nursing alongside proficiency in DaVinci robotic procedures. Qualifications / Desired Experience: • Valid Illinois RN license • Minimum 2+ years of operating room nursing experience • Previous travel nursing contract experience preferred (at least one) • Proficient in ophthalmology and DaVinci robotic general surgery • Epic electronic medical record experience • BLS certification current and up to date • Ability to be on-call within 30 minutes of hospital when scheduled • Required pre-employment clearances: CBC, Drug Screen, QuantiFERON Gold (within 90 days) Location: Waukegan, IL, offers convenient access to medical centers and suburban living with proximity to Chicagos vibrant city life less than 30 miles away. Responsibilities: • Deliver perioperative nursing care consistent with hospital protocols • Collaborate with surgical teams to provide safe and efficient patient care • Utilize Epic for patient documentation and coordination • Participate in on-call rotation, ensuring timely response to surgical needs • Maintain compliance with all credentialing and licensing requirements Schedule: • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m. • Weekend on-call rotation (810 shifts including weekends) This 8-week contract role allows you to apply your specialized skills in a supportive setting while enhancing your professional portfolio.
