
OR Registered Nurse | Whitefish, Montana in Whitefish, MT
Job Description
Operating Room Registered Nurse opportunity available in Whitefish, MT for experienced professionals with a strong background in robotics, neuro, and trauma surgical cases. This contract role offers the chance to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting supporting pediatric to adult patients across multiple surgical specialties.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Proficient in a wide variety of cases including neuro (cranial surgeries, EVDs, shunts), trauma, robotics (DaVinci XI), vascular, oncology, orthopedic, and general surgery
• RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications; CNOR and PALS preferred
• Experience circulating in the OR, IV starts and scrub skills are a plus
• Able to float between Main OR and OR North within the same facility
• Comfortable with call schedule including 1 weekend and 1 overnight call shift per week, with a 30-minute response time
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality patient care in a 16-bed OR unit with 1:1 patient ratios
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and nursing teams in a well-supported environment
• Utilize Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Adhere to procedural scrub protocols and maintain sterile environment standards
• Participate in a scheduled orientation period of up to one week
