Travel Nurse Job Details
• Location: Madison, WI 53718 (Wisconsin nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (06:30 - 17:00), Monday through Friday, one day off per week
• Hours per Week: 40
• Healthcare Setting: 14-bed high-volume Operating Room, specializing in orthopedic and general surgeries
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2570-$2640
• Free Parking Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Active Wisconsin or compact state RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care OR RN experience (within the last 3 years)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system
• Orthopedic OR experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse, community hospital, or Level I trauma experience preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Pass/fail telemetry exam required prior to start OR RN Responsibilities
• Deliver patient-centered care in the Operating Room as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Coordinate and communicate surgical case progression and OR activities for optimal efficiency
• Float to other units or locations within the healthcare organization as needed
• Utilize advanced surgical technology, including Da Vinci, Mazor, MAKO, and Cori robotics
• Support a variety of surgical procedures: orthopedic, neuro spine, minimally invasive, bariatric, general, and more
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and clinical best practices
• Participate in orientation, training, and competency assessments as required
