Summary Job Description: Full Time 36 weekly hours, night shift Sign On Bonus Eligible for experienced candidates! About the Unit: Baptist Louisville has two 24 bed all private room Orthopedic units. This is a post-operative surgical telemetry floor specializing in Orthopedics. The Orthopedic program is top-ranked by US News and World Report as a high performing hospital in knee replacements. New Graduate Nurses welcome. Job Duties: The Orthopedic Nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions for the patient. The Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently. Orthopedic nurses must have strong critical thinking skills. The Orthopedic nurse acts as a family and patient resource to guide them through all stages of the patient's orthopedic journey.
