This position requires a night shift schedule, including weekends and on-call duties on a rotating basis (4 x 10 hours).

Purpose and Impact:

As the Overnight Bilingual Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the health and well-being of the youth in our program. Work closely with medical providers and program leadership to ensure the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and ensure the delivery of care services for youth, adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare youth for medical examinations, accurately record medical intake data, and take vital signs.
• Assist medical staff during examinations and treatment procedures as necessary.
• Administer medications and immunizations per provider orders and maintain updated medical records.
• Educate and counsel youth about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Respond to medical inquiries and concerns in collaboration with medical providers.
• Continually assess care processes for improvement and develop appropriate evaluation criteria.
• Supervise youth care staff to ensure delivery of safe, effective care.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records and documentation for youth.
• Monitor medical supply inventories and order supplies and medications as needed.
• Prepare and submit required reports and audits to supervisors.
• Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and respond promptly to emergency medical situations.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Adapt to changes and take on other essential tasks as needed.
• Build and maintain effective communication with coworkers, medical providers, and youth.
• Work towards expanding medical and dental service partnerships in the community.
• Uphold Health Information Privacy (HIPAA) standards at all times.
• Maintain composure and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift at least 15-25 lbs as required by daily tasks.
• Capability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.

Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse degree from an accredited institution with valid RN License as required by the state.
• Graduation from an approved nursing program recognized by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN Exam.

Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time direct service delivery experience.
• Proven medical assessment and treatment skills working with children and adolescents.
• 2-3 years of full-time experience in a healthcare setting (hospital, clinic, etc.) and related experience with youth services.
