PACU Nurse (RN) - Blue Springs, Missouri in Blue Springs, MO

A Registered Nurse with recent experience in Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care is needed for a contract role based in Blue Springs, Missouri. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current RN license in good standing • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Preoperative (Preop) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, such as Altera Sunrise or similar platforms (experience not required, but beneficial) • Ability to float between Preop and PACU units as needed • Willingness to assist with special transfusion procedures occasionally Schedule: • Monday through Friday • 8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Role Responsibilities: • Provide exceptional nursing care in both Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care settings • Monitor patients’ vital signs and recovery progress following anesthesia • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective care transitions • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures, including adherence to the nicotine-free facility guidelines • Participate in hospital orientation and training programs to ensure smooth integration into the workflow Contract Details: • Contract position with potential for schedule flexibility • Orientation includes initial training days with both the contracting and hospital teams • Bi-weekly pay structure • Facility reserves the right to cancel one shift per pay period with advance notice This role offers an excellent chance to work in a supportive and professional hospital environment, engaging with a diverse patient population.
