PACU Nurse (RN) - Kennebunk, Maine in Arundel, ME

A healthcare facility in Kennebunk, ME, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a 13-week contract assignment. This role offers a full-time schedule at 36 hours per week, typically structured as four 9-hour day shifts, with participation in a weekend call rotation.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of one year of experience working in an ASU or PACU setting.
• Current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Ability to manage the complexities of post-anesthesia patient care with attention to safety and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere strictly to documentation standards; incomplete timecards will be rejected and not processed.
• Participate in weekend call rotation as assigned.
