An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care (RN-PACU) to provide expert care in a dynamic surgical recovery environment. This contract role offers a structured 4x10 schedule, Monday through Friday, with one rotating day off and no on-call duties, providing a balanced work-life rhythm. Location: Situated in Kirtland, New Mexico, the position serves an expansive region encompassing parts of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The regional medical center is a 198-bed Level III trauma facility renowned for its advanced operating suites and comprehensive healthcare services, including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, pediatric, behavioral health, cancer, and childbirth care. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. • Monitor vital signs and manage pain control in the post-operative period. • Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare standards. • Educate patients and families on postoperative care and discharge instructions. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current RN license with a valid certification in post-anesthesia care. • Experience in a PACU or similar acute care setting. • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. • Ability to work a 4x10 schedule with flexible days off. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
