
PACU Nurse (RN) - Morrisville, Vermont in Hyde Park, VT
Job Description
A Registered Nurse practicing in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (RN-PACU) role is needed in Morrisville, VT. This contract position involves delivering direct, age-specific patient care within established nursing standards. The ideal candidate will work within the Nursing Process framework and adhere to departmental and specialty-specific standards to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients post-anesthesia.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Assume leadership duties including delegation of tasks to other healthcare staff.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and healthcare policies.
• Maintain active ACLS, BLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications prior to the start of the assignment. If not currently certified, candidate must have a booked course by the time of clinical orientation.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current and valid RN license.
• Experience in post-anesthesia care or a related critical care setting.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications (active or scheduled).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate responsibilities appropriately.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
