PACU Nurse (RN) - Rigby, Idaho in Rigby, ID

A specialized opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing. This 13-week contract requires dedication to patient recovery in a fast-paced, Level 2 trauma hospital setting. Work 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., followed by on-call duties from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with a structured rotation including one call night weekly and a 48-hour weekend call every four weeks. Key Responsibilities: • Provide critical post-operative care to patients in the PACU 13-bed unit. • Manage IV starts, medication drips, arterial lines, and pain blocks. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams ensuring 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios. • Adhere to hospital protocols using Meditech documentation system. • Possibility to float to Day Surgery as needed. Desired Qualifications: • 1 to 3 years of PACU nursing experience in a Level 2 trauma hospital. • Certifications required: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support). • Ability to handle on-call responsibilities reliably. • Comfort with both day and variable shift schedules. Schedule: • 12-hour shifts: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. • On-call nights 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., one night weekly plus one weekend call every four weeks. • 36 hours per week plus call requirements.
