Job Description
An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with PACU experience to provide direct patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role focuses on delivering age-specific nursing care using the Nursing Process and adhering to departmental and specialty standards. The position requires leadership skills, including the delegation of tasks to support staff, while ensuring full compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the post-anesthesia care unit.
• Utilize established nursing protocols to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Lead and delegate responsibilities to nursing assistants and other healthcare personnel.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of nursing assessments and interventions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Proven PACU experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) are required prior to starting. Candidates without certifications must have a course booked at the time of clinical orientation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
