Registered Nurse - PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) – Contract Opportunity This contract nursing position is based in Douglasville, GA, providing care in a post-anesthesia care setting focused on heavy orthopedic, gynecological, genitourinary, and general surgeries. Work a schedule of three 12-hour day shifts, from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with weekend and call responsibilities included in the rotation. The role requires floating within the facility as necessary, adhering to the scope of practice. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience; first-time traveler nurses are accepted. • Current RN license with PACU clinical expertise. • Ability to handle call schedules: four first on-call shifts and three second on-call shifts, including Friday through Sunday. • Full compliance with facility and orientation requirements for timely start. • Flexibility to work major holidays as scheduled during the assignment period. Responsibilities: • Provide post-operative nursing care to patients recovering from various surgeries. • Monitor vital signs, manage pain control, and assist patients in early recovery phases. • Collaborate with surgical teams and physicians to support patient safety and discharge readiness. • Float within the hospital as needed to cover different units within your clinical scope.
