This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Phase 1 at a Level III trauma center located in Colorado City, CO. The position involves working night shifts to provide critical post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and smooth recovery processes for individuals with complex medical needs, including cardiovascular, cardiac, brain, and spine cases. Responsibilities: • Monitor and assess patients emerging from anesthesia, managing their airway, circulation, and pain. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care. • Utilize electronic charting systems to document patient progress accurately. • Respond effectively to emergency situations within the unit. Desired Experience & Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years of specialty nursing experience in PACU or a related field. • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA). • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system. • Comfort working night shifts Wednesday through Friday (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). • First-time PACU nurses are welcome if experience requirements are met. Schedule: • Three 12-hour night shifts per week. • Limited Return to Office (RTO) days with specific blackout periods.
